How do I start a new Descend Map world?
Create a new world and select Descend Map from the available map options. The mod will load you directly into the facility's starting area, typically near an entrance or main hallway.
What should I do when I first encounter the tall dark figure?
Do not engage it directly—instead, run to the nearest room or corridor and hide. The entity will patrol the hallways, so stay quiet and wait for it to pass before moving again.
Can I fight the entity or do I have to run?
The entity is designed to be avoided rather than fought; your goal is to escape the facility, not defeat it. Attempting combat will typically result in being caught, so focus on finding the exit instead.
Why does using my light source seem to attract the entity?
Bright light sources can draw the entity's attention, so use minimal lighting when possible and extinguish sources when you hear it approaching. Rely on natural light from windows or distant fixtures to navigate safely.
How do I find the exit?
Explore the facility systematically, checking different areas like basements, upper floors, and side corridors for exit signs or doors leading outside. The exit is typically marked and will be in a less-traveled part of the building.
What's the best way to navigate without getting lost?
Pay attention to distinctive landmarks like the red chair rooms, checkered tile areas, and vending machines to orient yourself. Mentally map the hallway connections as you move through the facility.
Are there safe zones where the entity won't go?
Certain enclosed rooms and storage areas provide temporary safety, but the entity can eventually search them, so don't stay in one place too long. Keep moving toward the exit rather than hiding indefinitely.
Does this mod work with other mods or does it conflict?
