How to Force Consistent Server Settings Across a Modpack
Why Consistency Matters
When players create their own worlds in a modpack, Minecraft normally generates a fresh server.properties with vanilla defaults. That means one player might have PvP off, another might have a tiny view distance, and a third might allow cheats. The Default Server Properties Mod fixes this by seeding every new world with your chosen values.
Pick the Settings That Define Your Pack
Decide which properties affect gameplay balance or the intended experience, and put only those in default-server.properties. Common choices include:

Keep It Maintainable
Add a short comment line above each group using # so future you remembers why a value is set. Because the mod only overrides listed keys, you can safely leave out anything you want players to control themselves. Distribute the file alongside your modpack so every install starts from the same baseline, and update it whenever you change pack-wide rules.
