How to Use the HD Sun and Moon Pack for Screenshots and Cinematic Views
Setting Up the Shot
The HD sun and moon look best when framed deliberately. Pick a vantage point with a clear horizon — a hilltop, a tall tower, or an open plain — so the celestial body is not blocked by terrain. For the moon, use a bed to reach night quickly and watch for a full moon, which shows the most surface detail.
Improving the View
Hide the HUD so interface elements do not clutter the frame. If you use shaders, enable them for richer lighting, but confirm the HD textures still render — adjust the shader's celestial option if the sun or moon disappears. Zooming with a spyglass or an optifine-style zoom lets you crop tighter on the disk without moving closer, which is useful when the body is high in the sky.
Capturing and Timing
Take screenshots at the moment the sun or moon is fully visible and unobstructed. Cloud cover can soften the effect, so clear weather gives the crispest result. For time-lapses, capture frames as the sun crosses the sky, then assemble them afterward. Because the pack is client-side, your screenshots will always show the HD sky regardless of what other players see.
