How to Combine the HD Sun and Moon Pack With Other Resource Packs

Understanding Load Order

Minecraft applies selected resource packs from top to bottom, and the topmost pack wins whenever two packs edit the same file. Because this pack only touches the sun and moon textures, conflicts are rare — but shader packs, sky-overhaul packs, or other celestial packs can overlap. Open Options → Resource Packs and drag this pack above any pack that also modifies sun or moon assets so its HD textures take priority.

Pairing With Shaders

Shader packs render the sky through their own pipeline and may replace or ignore vanilla celestial textures. If you use shaders and the HD sun and moon do not appear, check the shader's settings for an option controlling the sun/moon, or temporarily disable the shader to confirm the resource pack itself is working. Some shaders let you keep vanilla celestial textures; enable that if available.

Testing Your Combination

After arranging packs, click Done and look at the sky. Cycle between day and night, or use a bed to skip to night, to check both bodies. If the sun looks right but the moon does not, another pack lower in the list is overriding only the moon texture — move this pack higher. Keep a note of your final order so you can reproduce it after updating any pack.
