How to View All Your Saved Deaths with /deathbackup list
Running the List Command
/deathbackup list is the entry point for everything the mod does. It prints every death the mod has recorded for you, each tied to a save file in the world folder.
1. Enable cheats on the world if you have not already — without them the command will be rejected.
2. Press your chat key and type /deathbackup list.
3. Press Enter and read the output in chat.
Reading the Output
Each line in the list represents one death. The important part is the index number, because that is what you feed into the load command. Alongside the index you will see identifying details so you can tell deaths apart — use these to match an entry to the death you actually remember.
- If the list is long, scroll up in chat to see earlier entries.
- Write down the index of the death you care about before closing chat.
- If you are unsure which entry is which, load one, check your inventory, and load another if it is the wrong one. Loading is non-destructive to the other saves.
This command is read-only: it never changes your inventory, so it is safe to run as often as you like while deciding which save to restore.
