Recover Experience Points from Your Death

Experience Storage Feature

When enabled by your server administrator, the Death Chest plugin automatically stores your experience points alongside your inventory items and armor. This prevents XP loss when you die.

Retrieving Your Experience

1. Open your death chest at the location marked by the hologram

2. Your stored experience points are held inside the container along with regular items

3. When you take items from the chest, your XP is restored to your experience bar

4. The exact recovery method depends on server configuration—some restore XP automatically, others require you to interact with the chest

Important Considerations

  • Experience storage must be enabled in the server configuration; ask your admin if you're unsure
  • The amount of XP stored matches what you had at the moment of death
  • If the death chest despawns before you retrieve it, the stored experience disappears with it
  • Check the hologram countdown timer to ensure you collect your chest before it expires
  • This feature works across all worlds if per-world rules allow it
