DarkMining Mod FAQ

6 questions players actually ask, answered.

What does the DarkMining Mod do?
It adds bonus drops to mining activities, giving you a chance at extra blocks and items when breaking terrain and mineral blocks. The normal vanilla drop is still guaranteed.
Which blocks trigger DarkMining bonus drops?
It activates on standard and deepslate terrain and mineral blocks, plus blocks like dirt, grass, regular and red sand, netherrack, and end stone. It does not apply to just any block.
What kinds of items can I get as bonus drops?
Possible bonus drops include gold nuggets, potatoes, carrots, diamonds, iron ingots, lapis lazuli, emeralds, glass bottles, iron buckets, wooden sticks, golden apples, mushrooms, glass, Ghast tears, iron bars, and ladders.
Are bonus drops guaranteed?
No, you are guaranteed the usual vanilla drop, but extra items are awarded based on chance. Rare items like diamonds, emeralds, golden apples, and Ghast tears are possible but not certain.
Does DarkMining work when mining in the Nether or the End?
Yes, it works with netherrack and end stone, so bonus drops can trigger in the Nether and the End. It also works on overworld blocks like dirt, grass, and sand.
Do I still get the normal block drop with DarkMining installed?
Yes, the vanilla drop is always guaranteed. The mod only adds a chance for extra items on top of that.
