How to Cycle Backwards Through Painting Motives
Sneak-Click to Reverse
If you overshoot the painting you wanted, you don't have to keep clicking forward through the entire list. The mod supports going the other way.
1. Hold a painting item in your main hand.
2. Aim at the placed painting you want to change.
3. Hold your sneak key (default: Shift) and right-click the painting.
Instead of advancing to the next motive, the painting steps backward through the available options. This is the fastest way to undo a single accidental click without looping all the way around.
Practical Tips
- Forward clicking and sneak-clicking use the same painting item cost, so plan your inventory accordingly.
- If you're hunting for one specific artwork, it's often quicker to sneak-click backward a couple of times than to click forward through a dozen motives.
- The order is consistent, so once you learn roughly where your favorite painting sits in the rotation, you can jump to it quickly.
Combine forward and backward clicking to land on the exact image you want with minimal wasted painting items.
