Cyberware Reforged FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start installing cyberware?
You need to craft a Surgery Chamber and Surgery Chamber Door first. Place them in your world, then interact with the chamber to begin installing cyberware parts into your body.
Where do I find cyberware blueprints and components?
Hunt augmented monsters that spawn at night—they drop tech components and blueprints when defeated. The more dangerous the monster, the better components you'll get.
What happens if I run out of power?
Your installed cyberware will stop functioning until you restore power. You need to manage your power supply through the mod's power system to keep your implants active.
Can my biological balance get too low?
Yes—installing too much cyberware without balancing it will degrade your biological health. You need to maintain equilibrium between robotic parts and your natural body, or you'll suffer penalties.
Do I lose my cyberware if I die?
Your installed cyberware stays with you after death, but you should check your Surgery Chamber to ensure all implants are still functioning properly.
What's the best cyberware to install first?
Start with a mechanical heart for improved stamina and survivability, then add bionic eyes for night vision to help you hunt more augmented monsters safely.
Can I remove cyberware once it's installed?
Yes, you can use the Surgery Chamber to uninstall cyberware parts, though this may require resources depending on what you're removing.
Do robotic limbs give combat advantages?
Yes—robotic arms and legs provide benefits like jump boosts, retractable claws for melee damage, or other specialized combat enhancements depending on which limb you install.
How does the experience storage canister work?
Install it in your head to store experience points directly in the canister. This protects some of your XP from being lost on death.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod adds new entities (augmented monsters) and block interactions, so performance depends on your system and how many cyberware parts you install. Disable augmented monster spawning in config if you experience issues.
