Fixing Speaking Animations That Don't Work on Other Players' Screens
Animations are client-side
Customizable Player Models renders models on each player's own client. This compat mod feeds voice data into that rendering locally. A common confusion is expecting your talking animation to be "broadcast" — it is not. Each player needs the relevant mods installed for them to see animated models at all.
Checklist when others can't see you talk
1. Confirm the other player has Customizable Player Models installed. Without it they see a default player model and no animation, no matter what you do.
2. Confirm they also have this compat mod and Simple Voice Chat. If they lack the compat mod, they may see your model but it will not react to your voice.
3. Check that they can actually hear you in voice chat. If your audio is not reaching them, there is no volume value to animate with.
4. Verify your model is saved and applied. If you edited the model but did not save, other clients load the old version.
5. Remember that model files may need to be shared or synced depending on how you set up your model — if others see a different model than you do, the animation will look wrong or absent.
If it works for some but not others
That usually points to a mod list mismatch rather than your animation. Have the affected player double-check their installed mods and reload the game.
