Build a Flat Portal on the Ground or Ceiling

Understanding Portal Orientation

Portals in this mod aren't limited to vertical frames—you can build them lying flat on the ground or mounted on ceilings. This is useful for creating teleport pads in your base or quick-travel routes between rooftops.

Creating a Flat Frame

Choose your frame block and arrange it in your desired shape on a flat surface. For example, create a square or circle of blocks on the ground. The frame doesn't need to be thick; a single-layer outline works fine.

Activation and Use

Once your flat frame is complete, use dye to activate it just as you would a vertical portal. Stand on or within the frame and interact with it using your chosen dye color. Link it to another flat frame of matching shape and color elsewhere in your world.

Flat portals are excellent for creating themed teleport hubs or connecting different levels of your base without taking up wall space.
