Custom End Crystals Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the Custom End Crystals config?
Open your mod config folder (usually in .minecraft/config) and look for the Custom End Crystals configuration file. You can edit it with any text editor, or use an in-game config menu if your mod loader supports it.
What's the difference between the rendering modes?
Default shows the standard end crystal appearance; End Portal/End Gateway gives it a portal-like effect; Wireframe displays only the outline; Culled removes certain faces for a hollow look. Each mode creates a different visual style for your crystals.
Can I make end crystals glow without changing the light level setting?
No, the light level setting controls when the crystal glows. Set it to a low value (like 0) to make crystals glow even in darkness, or higher values to only glow in brighter areas.
Why do my end crystals look invisible or weird?
Check that you have at least one component (core or frame) set to render. If all components are disabled or have zero alpha, the crystal won't be visible. Also verify your rendering mode isn't set to something that hides your chosen style.
How do I make end crystals spin faster or bounce higher?
Adjust the rotation speed setting to make them spin faster, and increase the bounce height value to make them bounce higher. You can also change bounce speed to control how quickly the bouncing animation plays.
Can I customize the core and frames separately?
Yes, you can independently toggle, color, and adjust the alpha (transparency) for the core, frame 1, and frame 2. This lets you create unique combinations like a glowing core with transparent frames.
What does the height offset do?
Height offset moves the entire crystal up or down from its original position without changing where it actually sits. This is useful for visual adjustments without affecting gameplay.
Do these changes affect end crystal behavior or only how they look?
Custom End Crystals only changes the visual appearance and animations—it doesn't affect crystal mechanics, damage, or functionality in the End.
Can I have different crystal styles in different parts of my world?
No, the mod applies one configuration globally to all end crystals in your world. All crystals will use the same rendering style, colors, and animation settings.
Why is my shadow size setting not showing up?
Make sure your rendering mode and component settings allow the shadow to be visible. If the core or frames aren't rendering, the shadow may not appear either. Check that shadow alpha is set to a visible value.
