How to Make a Custom Cursor Resource Pack for Custom Cursor Reload Mod
Why Use a Resource Pack
The mod looks for cursor textures under assets/minecraft/textures/gui/. Bundling your cursor into a resource pack keeps things tidy, lets you toggle it on and off, and avoids editing the mod file directly. This also means you can share the pack with friends.
Building the Pack
1. Create a folder for your pack and add a pack.mcmeta file describing it.
2. Inside the pack, create the path assets/minecraft/textures/gui/.
3. Save your cursor as a PNG in that folder. Use a transparent background so only the cursor shape shows.
4. Zip the pack, or place the folder directly in your resourcepacks directory.
5. Enable it from Options > Resource Packs.
Selecting It In the Mod
After enabling the pack, open the mod config (Mods menu on Forge/NeoForge, /customcursor on Fabric) and choose your cursor texture. Adjust the size slider if needed. Reload with F3+T if the change does not show right away.
Keep your PNG dimensions reasonable and avoid overly detailed art, since the cursor is small on screen. A clean silhouette reads best. Because everything is client-side, your pack and settings only affect your own game.
