Custom Cursor Reload Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I change my cursor in Custom Cursor Reload Mod?
Drop a PNG file into assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ inside your resource pack, then open the mod's config and select it as your cursor. If you're not sure where to start, the mod ships with a default cursor you can replace.
Where does the mod look for cursor images?
It reads PNG files from assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ in any loaded resource pack. That's the same folder vanilla uses for GUI textures, so you can bundle your cursor alongside other GUI edits.
How do I open the config for Custom Cursor Reload Mod?
On Forge or NeoForge, open the Mods menu and click the config button next to the mod. On Fabric, type /customcursor in chat to open the same GUI.
Why doesn't /customcursor work on Forge?
The chat command is Fabric-only. On Forge and NeoForge you open the config through the Mods list instead of typing a command.
How do I resize the cursor?
Open the mod's config GUI and adjust the size slider — the change applies immediately so you can see the result. If your cursor looks blurry after enlarging, use a higher-resolution PNG.
Do I need to install this mod on the server?
No. Custom Cursor Reload Mod is client-side only, so it works on any server as long as you have it installed locally. Other players won't see your cursor.
Can other players see my custom cursor?
No. The cursor is rendered only on your client, so it's purely a personal visual change. Nobody else on the server is affected.
My custom cursor isn't showing up — what did I do wrong?
Check that the PNG is in assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ with the exact filename the config expects, and that the resource pack is actually enabled. Also confirm you selected that image in the config rather than leaving the default.
Does Custom Cursor Reload Mod work with other GUI or resource pack mods?
It's client-side and only touches the cursor texture, so it generally coexists with GUI mods and resource packs. If another pack overrides the same gui texture path, load order decides which one wins.
Will a custom cursor hurt my FPS?
No — it's a single GUI texture swap, so the performance impact is negligible. Very large PNGs may use slightly more memory, but frame rate isn't affected.
