Cursed Fate Auras Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I get my first Chroma Orb?
Craft a Chroma Orb using the recipe available in your crafting menu once the mod is installed. Once you have one, use it in your inventory or as an item to roll for a random cursed energy color based on the rarity drop rates.
What's the difference between Common, Exotic, and Legendary colors?
Common colors (85% chance) are basic energy hues with no special effects. Exotic colors (14% chance) include unique activation sounds when you use Flow. Legendary colors (1% chance) give you a larger aura, custom sounds, and a special voice line when you hold right-click during Flow activation.
Why aren't my aura colors showing up on my abilities?
Make sure you've actually obtained a color by using a Chroma Orb—rolling doesn't automatically apply it. If colors still aren't appearing, check that you're activating your Flow ability, as that's what displays your current aura visually.
How do I turn off custom colors for Simple Domains?
Use the command `/gamerule doCustomSimpleDomain false` to revert all Simple Domains to the default blue color, regardless of your current aura.
Can I change the drop rates for each rarity tier?
Yes, you can adjust the percentage chances for Common, Exotic, and Legendary colors by editing the configuration file for the mod.
Do I need to do anything special to hear the custom sounds for Exotic colors?
No—custom activation sounds for Exotic colors play automatically when you use the Flow ability with that color equipped. Make sure your game volume isn't muted.
What do Legendary colors look like compared to other auras?
Legendary auras (Vanguard and Ancient) are noticeably larger than Common and Exotic colors, making them visually distinctive on your character and in your Simple Domain.
Can I get the same color twice, or does each Chroma Orb give me something new?
Each Chroma Orb is a random roll based on the rarity rates, so you can definitely get duplicate colors—there's no guarantee of getting something you don't already have.
Do the aura colors affect my actual damage or abilities, or is it just visual?
Aura colors are purely visual and cosmetic—they change how your abilities and Simple Domain look, but don't alter their mechanics or damage.
Will this mod work with other Cursed Fate addons?
This mod is designed as an expansion for the Cursed Fate mod, so it should work alongside it; however, compatibility with other third-party addons depends on whether they modify the same systems.
