Viewing the 3D Sun and Moon at Different Times

When to See the Cubic Stars

The Cubic Stars Resource Pack transforms celestial bodies into 3D models that are visible throughout the day and night cycle. The sun appears as a detailed cubic form during daytime, while the moon takes on its own dimensional shape after sunset.

Best Viewing Times

For the most dramatic effect, observe the sun during sunrise and sunset when it sits lower on the horizon. At these times, the three-dimensional depth and shading of the cubic sun become most apparent, creating rich color gradients and shadow details.

The moon is best viewed during clear nights when it's fully visible in the sky. Use the /time set night command to jump to nighttime if you want to study it immediately without waiting for the day-night cycle.

Optimal Viewing Conditions

Clear weather provides the clearest view of both celestial bodies. If it's raining or snowing, use /weather clear to remove precipitation and enjoy unobstructed views of the sky. Position yourself in an open area away from tall structures or trees that might block your view of the horizon.

Try building a tall tower or mountain to gain elevation—higher positions give you a better angle to appreciate the cubic geometry and dimensional details of both the sun and moon.
