Increase or Decrease Total Mob Density Near Your Base

Open Entity Cap Settings

Access the Crowd Governor menu and find the mob cap or entity limit section. This controls the maximum number of mobs allowed near players.

Adjust the Global Mob Cap

Increase the cap to allow more mobs to exist simultaneously in loaded chunks, or decrease it to reduce crowding. Higher caps mean more creatures but more lag; lower caps mean fewer mobs and better performance.

Apply Per-Dimension or Per-Category

If available, set different caps for hostile mobs, passive mobs, or specific dimensions. For example, you might allow many passive animals but few hostile creatures near your base.

Test Performance

After changing the cap, spend time near your base and monitor frame rate and mob density. If lag increases, lower the cap. If mobs feel too sparse, raise it.

Fine-Tune Gradually

Make small adjustments rather than large jumps. This helps you find the sweet spot between immersion and performance without overwhelming your system.
