Why This Matters

When you open a chest or sorting system, your character normally stands up, revealing your nametag to anyone watching. This guide keeps you hidden while managing inventory.

Steps

1. Approach your storage chest or container

2. Activate sneak using your configured sneak key (hold or toggle, depending on your settings)

3. Open the container normally—your character will remain crouched

4. Sort, organize, and transfer items as needed

5. Close the container; you'll stay crouched until you release sneak or press your sneak key again

Pro Tips

• If using toggle-sneak, watch for the on-screen status text above your hotbar to confirm you're in crouch mode
• You can type commands in chat while crouched without standing up—useful for coordinating with teammates
• Your nametag stays hidden the entire time, making it harder for raiders to spot you through walls or from a distance
• To exit crouch instantly, press your standard sneak key once
