Set Up Your First Cropville Farm
Prepare Your Farmland
Start by finding a flat area near water. Till the soil using a hoe to create farmland blocks, just like vanilla Minecraft farming. Cropville crops grow on standard farmland and follow the same hydration rules—keep water within 4 blocks horizontally.
Obtain Seeds
Collect seeds by:
- Breaking tall grass in your world
- Fishing in water bodies
- Looting dungeon chests and trial chamber vaults
- Trading with village farmers or wandering traders using emeralds
Early game, focus on common vegetables like tomatoes, lettuce, and carrots since these spawn frequently in loot.
Plant and Harvest
Right-click farmland with seeds in hand to plant. Fully grown crops display visibly different textures. Break the mature crop to collect both the produce and seeds for replanting.
Expand Gradually
Start small with 20–30 blocks of farmland. As you collect more seed varieties, expand your plots by crop type. This makes harvesting and replanting more efficient.
