Understanding the Color System for Harvest Timing
What Each Color Means
The Crops Plus Resource Pack uses a four-stage color system to show plant maturity. Learn to recognize each stage so you know exactly when to harvest.
Red indicates newly planted seeds. Your crops are in their earliest growth phase and need time to develop.
Orange appears when your plants reach the halfway point of their growth cycle. Growth is progressing well, but they're not ready to harvest yet.
Yellow signals that your crops are nearly mature. They're in the final stages before full ripeness.
Green means your crops are fully grown and ready to harvest immediately. This is your signal to collect the produce.
Using This System Efficiently
Instead of examining individual pixels on wheat or carrot plants, simply scan your farm from a distance and look for the colored rectangles floating above each crop. This lets you manage large farms much faster. Plan your harvesting route by collecting all green crops first, then return to yellow crops as they mature. This workflow prevents waste and keeps your farm productive.
