Croparium FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start farming with Croparium?
First, hold a material you want to farm and right-click a stonecutter to extract embryo shards from it. Then combine 1 unit of that material with 8 embryo shards on a crafting table to create seeds. Plant the seeds on dedicated mod farmland (not vanilla dirt) and they'll begin growing.
What's the difference between mod farmland and regular dirt?
Croparium crops only grow on dedicated mod farmland blocks, not on vanilla dirt or grass. You must craft or find mod farmland specifically to set up your farming plots.
Can I use a stonecutter from vanilla Minecraft?
Yes, the stonecutter is a vanilla block that works with Croparium. Simply hold your target material and right-click the stonecutter to extract embryo shards.
How do embryo shards speed up growth?
Right-click a growing crop while holding embryo shards that match the crop's type to accelerate its growth cycle. Using matching shards is more efficient than using unrelated ones.
Do I have to replant seeds every harvest?
No, right-clicking a mature crop collects the resources without destroying the plant, so it stays in place for the next growth cycle. You only need to plant seeds once per crop.
What does the
Reactor Core do?
The
Reactor Core automates crop production when placed nearby your farmland, handling growth and harvesting without manual intervention. It's useful for large-scale farming setups.

Yes, Croparium works with separate expansion packs that add crops for materials from other mods. Check if an expansion pack exists for the mod you want to farm from.
What crops can I grow?
You can farm overworld minerals (coal, iron, gold, redstone, lapis, diamonds), nether resources (quartz, glowstone, netherite), mob drops (slimeballs, shulker shells, ender pearls), and ocean goods like prismarine.
Is Croparium compatible with automated systems?
Yes, the mod is designed to work with automated setups. The
Reactor Core enables full automation, and the right-click harvesting mechanic works with hoppers and other collection systems.

Breaking a crop will destroy it and drop the seeds, forcing you to replant. Right-click mature crops instead to harvest without losing the plant.
