Fixing 'CreativeCore Missing' or Dependency Crashes on Startup

The most common CreativeCore problem players hit is not a CreativeCore bug at all — it is a version mismatch between CreativeCore and one of the mods that requires it.

Read the crash log first

1. Open your crash report or latest.log.

2. Search for CreativeCore. You will usually see one of two things: a Missing or unsupported mandatory dependency line, or a NoSuchMethodError / ClassNotFoundException pointing at a CreativeCore class.

3. A missing-dependency message means the dependent mod wants a CreativeCore build you do not have.

4. A NoSuchMethodError means you have a CreativeCore build that is *too old* for the dependent mod — the mod is calling a method that was added later.

Resolve it

  • Update CreativeCore to the newest build that matches your Minecraft version and mod loader.
  • If updating CreativeCore breaks a different dependent mod, you have a conflict: two mods want incompatible CreativeCore generations. In that case, update the older dependent mod rather than downgrading CreativeCore.
  • Remove any duplicate CreativeCore jars. Two copies in the mods folder will cause a duplicate-mod error.
  • After changing files, delete the config folder entry for the affected mods only if the log explicitly says a config failed to parse.

Do not try to "fix" this by editing configs — dependency errors are almost always solved by matching file versions.
