Create a Custom Item Group for Your Favorite Blocks

Set Up Your Custom Group

Custom item groups let you bundle blocks and items exactly how you want them, separate from the default groups. This is useful when you're working on a specific build theme.

1. Open the mod's configuration menu (usually accessible through your mod settings or config folder)

2. Locate the Tab ID setting

3. Decide which Creative tab you want to assign your custom group to (Building Blocks, Decorations, Redstone, etc.)

4. Press F3 + H in-game to enable item ID tooltips

5. Hover over each item you want in your group and note its item ID

6. Add each item ID to your config file under your chosen tab

7. Reload your game or resource pack

Organize by Theme

Instead of using default sorting, group items by your building project. For example, create a "Medieval" group with stone variants, wood types, and thatch-like blocks all in one place. This saves time when you're focused on a specific aesthetic and don't want to hunt through multiple default bundles.
