Create Energistics A Recipe Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why don't I see any new recipes when I open my recipe book?
Make sure you have both Create and Applied Energistics 2 installed in the same world or modpack. If you're using a recipe viewer like REI or JEI, try refreshing it or restarting your game to load the new recipes.
Do I need Create Additions and Create New Age to use this mod?
No, the base recipes work with just Create and AE2, but installing Create Additions and Create New Age unlocks additional alternative recipes that use blocks from those mods.
How do I craft AE2 Storage Cells using Create machines?
Look up the Storage Cell recipe in your recipe viewer to see which Create blocks are needed as ingredients. The recipe uses Create components that match the cell's appearance, so you'll typically need precision machinery parts instead of standard crafting table ingredients.
What's the difference between these recipes and the normal AE2 crafting recipes?
These recipes replace standard ingredients with Create blocks that visually match the final item's design and color. For example, items with metallic details use Create metal parts instead of generic materials, making the crafting feel more thematic.
I installed Extended AE2 but the wireless crafting recipes aren't showing up. What's wrong?
Extended AE2 wireless recipes also require WTLib to be installed. Make sure both mods are in your modpack alongside the main Create Energistics pack.
Can I use this mod with just Create, or do I have to have Applied Energistics 2?
You need both Create and Applied Energistics 2 for this mod to work, since it only adds recipes that combine items from both mods.
Are these recipes harder or easier than the original AE2 recipes?
The difficulty depends on your setup—some recipes may require you to build Create machinery, but they're designed as alternatives rather than intentionally harder or easier options.
Do the new recipes give the same items as the original ones?
Yes, you get the exact same AE2 items; only the crafting method changes to use Create blocks instead.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod only adds recipes and doesn't add new blocks or entities, so it should have minimal impact on performance.
Can I disable certain recipes if I don't want to use them?
Since this is a data pack, you would need to manually edit the recipe files or use a mod manager that supports selective data pack loading to disable specific recipes.
