Create Auction House Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the auction house for the first time?
Type /ah in chat and press Enter to open the market menu. You'll see all available listings from the server shop and other players, along with options to buy, sell, or place orders.
What currency does the auction house use?
The mod uses Numismatics bank currency for all trades. Make sure you have the Numismatics mod installed and have currency in your bank account before buying or selling items.
How do I list an item for sale?
Open /ah, click the sell button, select the item from your inventory you want to list, set your price in bank currency, and confirm. Your item will stay on the market even after you log off.
Can I buy something if the seller is offline?
Yes, that's one of the mod's main features. All listings persist on the server, so you can buy from players who aren't currently online and they'll receive payment when they return.
How do buy orders work?
A buy order lets you post a request for an item you need at a price you're willing to pay. Other players can fulfill your order by selling you that item, and the transaction completes automatically.
Why do server shop prices keep changing?
The mod tracks player supply and demand to adjust prices automatically. If lots of players are selling an item, the price drops; if demand is high, the price rises to reflect the market.
Do I need admin commands to use the auction house as a regular player?
No, regular players only need /ah to access the market. The /ah admin command is for server owners to configure shops, set up the economy, and manage market access.
What happens if I list an item but then need it back before it sells?
Check your mod's configuration or ask your server admin—the ability to cancel listings depends on server settings. Some servers allow players to remove unsold items anytime, while others may have restrictions.
Can I see a history of my trades and account balance?
Yes, the auction house menu includes transaction history and balance tracking so you can review your past trades and current funds.
Does this mod work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, it's designed for multiplayer and all data is stored server-side. Server admins have tools to manage the economy, set shop prices, and control who can access the market.
