Add Custom Prizes to Existing Crates

Using the additem Command

The easiest way to add prizes is through the in-game command:

1. Hold or have the item you want to add as a prize in your inventory

2. Run /cc additem <crate> <prize> where <crate> is the crate's name

3. The item in your hand is registered as a possible reward

4. Reload the plugin to apply changes

This method requires crazycrates.command.admin permission.

Editing Crate Config Directly

For more control, edit the crate configuration file:

1. Locate the crate's config section

2. Add new prize entries with the item type and quantity

3. Set drop rates or weights (higher values = more common)

4. Include any enchantments or custom names

5. Save and reload

Testing Your Prizes

After adding prizes, open a test crate to verify:

  • Items appear in the correct quantity
  • Animations complete without errors
  • Prizes land in player inventory
  • Drop rates feel balanced

Adjust weights if certain prizes appear too frequently or rarely.
