How to Use Crash Assistant's Log Analysis to Fix Common Crashes
Crash Assistant doesn't just show you logs — it scans them and tells you what it thinks went wrong. Using that analysis correctly can turn a confusing stack trace into a clear next step.
Reading the Analysis
The analysis appears near the top of the crash screen. It looks for well-known problems: missing or incompatible mod dependencies, Java version mismatches, graphics driver issues, and running out of allocated memory. When it recognizes one of these, it shows a short explanation and a suggested fix.
Acting on It
1. Read the suggested cause carefully. If it names a specific mod as missing or incompatible, that's your starting point.
2. Follow the suggested fix — for example, installing the named dependency or removing the conflicting mod.
3. If the analysis says the game ran out of memory, increase the memory allocated to your Minecraft instance in your launcher's settings.
4. If the analysis says it couldn't identify the cause, switch to the raw crash report tab and look at the top of the stack trace, which usually names the failing mod or class.
5. After making a change, launch the game again. If it crashes the same way, the analysis will reappear and you can compare.
The analysis is a starting hint, not a guarantee — treat it as the first thing to check rather than the final answer.
