Prevent Item Retraction While Mining or Using Tools
Understanding Tool Use Behavior
When you swing a tool or actively mine a block, the Crampedness Mod automatically reduces the retraction effect on your held item. This keeps your tool visible and prevents jarring camera shifts during active gameplay.
How to Maintain Normal Tool Position
Simply begin mining or swinging your tool near walls or obstacles. The mod detects your mining action and temporarily lowers the retraction animation, allowing your tool to stay closer to its normal position while you work.
This behavior applies to all tools—pickaxes, axes, shovels, and swords. The effect resumes once you stop swinging, so your items will smoothly retract again if you stand still near a solid block or mob.
Practical Mining Tips
When excavating tight caves or mining in confined spaces, you won't experience distracting hand movements while actively breaking blocks. This makes the mod feel natural during intensive mining sessions. If you want to see the full retraction effect, simply stop swinging and stand near an obstacle—the animation will resume smoothly.
