Uncraft Wool into String
Why Uncraft Wool?
Vanilla Minecraft's wool crafting is inefficient—you need four string to make one wool, but uncrafting only gives you one string back. Crafting+ reverses this, allowing you to recover string from wool blocks.
How to Uncraft
Place a wool block of any color in your crafting grid. The recipe will output string. This works for all wool colors—white, orange, magenta, light blue, yellow, lime, pink, gray, light gray, cyan, purple, blue, brown, green, red, and black.
When to Use This
Uncraft wool when you have excess wool blocks and need string for:
- Crafting bows
- Making fishing rods
- Creating tripwire
- Building with wool that you later want to convert back
This is particularly valuable early game when string is scarce and you've collected wool from sheep. Rather than destroying wool blocks, convert them into the string you actually need.
