Crafting+ Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I craft stone tools with materials other than cobblestone?
Place any stone-type block (granite, andesite, diorite, tuff, cobbled deepslate, end stone, blackstone, or netherrack) in the crafting grid where you'd normally use cobblestone. The recipe works identically to vanilla stone tool crafting.
Can I turn grass layers back into full grass blocks?
Yes. Place dirt underneath a tall grass, grass, or moss carpet block to convert it into a grass block. This works as a reversible crafting recipe.
What's the fastest way to get string in this mod?
Uncraft wool blocks into string—each wool block yields string. This is much faster than hunting spiders if you have wool available.
How do I bulk craft chains?
Use the bulk crafting recipe for chains, which requires iron ingots and iron nuggets arranged in the crafting grid. Check the mod's recipe list for the exact pattern.
Can I craft minecarts faster with this mod?
Yes. Minecart variants now only need 5 ingots plus the relevant block (TNT, Furnace, Hopper, etc.) in the middle, instead of the vanilla recipe. This applies to all minecart types.
Do I need redstone torches to craft repeaters anymore?
No. Repeaters now only require redstone dust and sticks, removing the need for redstone torches entirely.
How do I craft spectral arrows?
Spectral arrows can now be crafted using glow berries, glow ink sacs, or glowstone dust instead of just glowstone. Use whichever material you have available.
Can I uncraft glowstone blocks?
Yes. Uncraft glowstone blocks to get glowstone dust back, or convert glowberries directly into glowstone blocks for smelting.
What wood types work for pistons and other blocks?
Pistons, brewing stands, droppers, dispensers, furnaces, observers, and levers now accept all wood types in their recipes, giving you more flexibility in crafting.
How do I craft nylium blocks?
Place netherrack below crimson or warped grass (respectively) to craft crimson or warped nylium blocks. This allows you to create these blocks without finding them naturally.
