Craft Stone Tools from Any Stone Type

Accepted Stone Variants

Crafting+ allows you to create stone tools using any of these stone blocks as the tool material:

  • Cobblestone
  • Granite
  • Andesite
  • Diorite
  • Tuff
  • Cobbled Deepslate
  • End Stone
  • Blackstone
  • Netherrack

How to Craft

Use the standard Minecraft stone tool recipe layout. Instead of placing regular Cobblestone in the crafting grid, substitute any stone variant from the list above. The recipe works identically—place your chosen stone block in the pattern for pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, or swords, with sticks in the handle positions.

This is especially useful when you're deep in the Nether or End and have abundant local stone. You can immediately craft tools from Blackstone or End Stone without needing to return to the Overworld for Cobblestone.

Tip

All stone variants produce tools with identical durability and mining speed to regular stone tools, so choose whichever stone you have readily available.
