Create Custom Commands with Command Plugins

Install a Command Plugin

Command creation plugins let you build custom commands without coding. Download and place the plugin in your plugins folder, then restart the server. The plugin will generate a configuration folder.

Define Your Command

Open the plugin's configuration file (usually a .yml file). Create a new command entry with a name, description, and the action it should perform. Actions might include running other commands, sending messages, giving items, or teleporting players. Follow the plugin's syntax carefully—indentation and formatting matter in .yml files.

Set Permissions and Aliases

Assign a permission node to your custom command so you can control who uses it. You can also create aliases (alternate names) for the command to make it easier to type. Save the configuration file.

Reload and Test

Restart the server or use the plugin's reload command to apply changes. Join the game and test your custom command by typing it. If it doesn't work, check the console for error messages and verify your configuration syntax matches the plugin's requirements.
