Frequently asked questions
How do I craft an enchanted golden apple?
Arrange eight blocks of gold in a square around a single apple in the center of your crafting table. The apple must be in the middle slot, with gold blocks filling all surrounding spaces.
What do I need to gather before crafting?
You need eight blocks of gold (which requires 72 gold ingots total) and one apple. Make sure you have enough gold ore mined and smelted, or find apples from grass or village loot.
Can I use gold ingots instead of gold blocks?
No, the recipe specifically requires gold blocks. You must craft nine gold ingots into one gold block, then repeat this process eight times.
Is the enchanted golden apple worth the crafting cost?
That depends on your playstyle—the apple provides powerful temporary effects and is useful for boss fights or emergencies, but the gold investment is significant. Consider whether you'll use it frequently enough to justify the farming time.
