Understand How Animated Attachments Move With Your Character

Bone Linking Explained

Animated attachments use bone linking to attach directly to your character's skeleton. This means cosmetic items don't just sit on your player — they're anchored to specific bones (arms, legs, torso, head) and move exactly as those body parts move.

Watching Animations in Action

1. Equip an animated cosmetic item

2. Perform different actions: walk, run, jump, swim, or use items

3. Watch how the attachment animates independently while staying attached to your character

4. Switch to third-person view to see the full effect

How It Works

The mod reads animation data (usually from GeckoLib) embedded in cosmetic models. As your character's bones rotate and move, the attached cosmetics follow those movements and play their own synchronized animations on top. This creates natural, fluid motion rather than static items floating on your player.

Performance Note

Multiple animated attachments may impact performance depending on animation complexity. Equip only the cosmetics you actively want to see.
