Open Your Curios Panel First

After looting your corpse, open your Curios inventory panel using its keybind (check your controls menu if you have rebound it). Having the panel open before you start moving items saves time, since you can drag directly from your inventory into the correct slots.

Match Items to Slot Types

Curios slots are typed — a ring only fits a ring slot, a belt only fits a belt slot, and so on. Shift-clicking a Curios item from your inventory will usually route it into a valid empty slot automatically. If you have more items than slots (for example, multiple rings but only two ring slots), the extras stay in your inventory until you free up a slot or swap something out.

Handling Slot Conflicts

If an item refuses to equip, the target slot may already be filled or the item may require a slot type your character does not currently have unlocked. Remove the conflicting item first, then place the new one. Some Curios items also have equip restrictions from the mod that added them, which this compat mod does not change — it only handles the death-and-recovery side.
