Rotate a Structure Using Turn Rotors

Installing Rotor Blocks

Turn rotors are special blocks that rotate structures clockwise or counterclockwise. Place rotor blocks within or adjacent to your platform outline. The rotor's orientation determines rotation direction—check the block's texture or model to confirm which way it will spin.

Powering Rotation

Attach redstone power to the rotor block using a lever, button, or repeater. When powered, the rotor will rotate the entire structure connected to the platform outline. The rotation pivots around the rotor's position, so placement matters—center it under your structure for balanced turning.

Combining Movement and Rotation

You can use both platform movement and rotors simultaneously. For example, a ferry boat can move forward while a rotor spins it to face a new direction. Use separate redstone circuits for each action, or combine them with repeaters for choreographed sequences.

Test rotation in an open area first to ensure your structure doesn't collide with terrain or other builds during the spin.
