Corail Platform Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start moving blocks with this mod?
Place platform outline blocks around the base of the structure you want to move, then attach redstone power (lever, button, or repeater) to push the platform in your desired direction. The mod will scan upward from your outline to grab all connected solid blocks.
Why aren't some of my blocks moving with the platform?
Blocks only move if they're connected through solid blocks to your platform outline. Check for gaps, air pockets, or disconnected sections—use the outline preview to see which blocks are linked. Floating blocks or those connected only through non-solid blocks (like stairs or slabs) won't be included.
Can I move structures diagonally or in multiple directions?
Platforms move in one direction at a time based on where you apply redstone power. To move diagonally or change direction, you'll need to move the structure once, reposition your outline blocks, and move it again in the new direction.
How do I rotate a structure instead of sliding it?
Place turn rotor blocks (left or right variants) on your platform outline and power them with redstone. Left rotors spin counterclockwise, right rotors spin clockwise—the structure rotates around the rotor's position.
What's the difference between regular platforms and End platforms?
End platforms work in the End dimension without altitude restrictions, while standard platforms have height limitations in the Overworld and Nether. Use End platforms if you're building in the End or need to move structures at any height there.
How do I automate an elevator to go up and down repeatedly?
Use redstone repeaters with delay settings on your platform's power input—set the delay to control how long the platform moves before stopping. Stack multiple repeaters or use a clock circuit to create a loop that makes the elevator rise and fall automatically.
Can I move structures with mobs or items inside them?
Yes, anything inside the outlined area (mobs, items, entities) will move with the platform as long as it's within the solid block boundary. This works for transporting villagers, animals, or cargo across your world.
Do I need to outline the entire structure or just the base?
You only need to outline the base layer of your structure—the mod scans upward from there and grabs all connected solid blocks automatically. Outlining the whole thing wastes platform blocks and isn't necessary.
What happens if my structure is too large or complex?
The mod will move whatever is connected through solid blocks, but very large structures may move slowly or cause lag depending on your system. Break complex builds into smaller sections and move them separately if performance becomes an issue.
Can platforms push or pull blocks, or only push?
Platforms push structures in the direction the redstone signal comes from—they don't pull. Design your redstone circuits so the power source is positioned on the side you want the platform to move toward.
