Diagnose Why Blocks Aren't Moving with Your Platform
Understanding the Connectivity Rule
Platforms only move blocks that connect through solid blocks above the outline layer. If part of your structure stays behind, it's because those blocks don't form a continuous path of solid blocks from the outline upward. Floating blocks, isolated rooms, or sections connected only by non-solid blocks (like stairs or slabs) will detach.
Finding Disconnected Sections
Walk through your structure and look for gaps in the solid block chain. Common culprits include:
- Rooms with only air blocks connecting them to the main structure
- Towers or extensions that don't touch the platform outline
- Interior spaces filled with non-solid blocks like carpets or torches
Fixing the Problem
Add solid blocks to bridge disconnected sections. You don't need to fill entire rooms—just create a path of solid blocks from the outline layer upward through any isolated areas. Once connected, those blocks will move with the platform.
Test by powering the platform briefly. All connected blocks should shift together smoothly.
