Set Up a Mixed Hopper and Modded Duct Network

Understanding Automatic Coordination

When Cooldown Coordinator is installed, vanilla hoppers automatically coordinate with modded item-moving blocks that implement the mod's interface. This means you can build sorters and item networks mixing hoppers, modded ducts, and other compatible blocks without items getting stuck or duplicating.

Building Your Network

1. Place vanilla hoppers and modded transfer blocks (ducts, pipes, etc.) in your desired layout

2. Connect them normally—no special configuration needed

3. The mod handles cooldown synchronization automatically behind the scenes

4. Items will flow predictably through the network without backing up unexpectedly

Testing the Setup

Insert items into your network and observe their movement. Items should transfer smoothly between vanilla and modded blocks at consistent rates. If a modded block isn't coordinating properly, it may not implement the Cooldown Coordinator interface—check that mod's documentation or consider using alternative blocks.
