Cookey Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I open the Cookey Mod settings?
Press the configured key (default is usually a specific keybind in your controls menu) to open the mod's settings screen, or access it through the Mod Menu if installed. All features can be toggled and adjusted from this menu.
Why is my eating animation still showing in first-person?
The legacy console eating animation option only affects third-person view. In first-person, Minecraft's default eating animation will still play; enable the option in settings to see the console-style animation when viewing yourself from third-person.
Can I block with tools like swords and axes?
Yes—when you hold a shield and attack with any tool, the tool blocking animation will play instead of the normal swing, mimicking 1.8-style PvP behavior. This is purely visual and doesn't change combat mechanics.
My camera shakes when I get hit or drink potions. How do I stop it?
In the Cookey Mod settings, disable the camera shake option. You can keep hand bobbing enabled separately if you prefer—these are independent toggles.
Does disabling the sneaking camera animation affect my actual sneaking speed?
No, it only removes the visual camera transition when you crouch. Your actual movement speed and sneaking mechanics remain unchanged.
Why does my swing animation cancel when I eat?
By default, Minecraft cancels swing animations when you start eating or drinking. Enable the 'prevent eating from cancelling swings' option in Cookey Mod settings to keep your swing animation playing through eating.
Does Cookey Mod work with other animation mods?
Cookey Mod is lightweight and client-side, but conflicts can occur if another mod modifies the same animations or camera behavior. Test compatibility by enabling one feature at a time if you experience issues.
Can I hide my shield in third-person view?
Yes, Cookey Mod has an option to hide unused shields (shields you're not actively holding) in third-person, cleaning up your visual appearance.
Does this mod affect multiplayer or servers?
No, Cookey Mod is purely client-side and only changes what you see. It won't cause issues on servers and won't give you unfair advantages.
What's the difference between the damage tint and armor damage tint options?
The damage tint colors the screen when you take damage, while armor damage tint specifically colors it based on which armor piece was hit. You can customize or disable each independently.
