Enable Rainbow Mode for Cycling Outline Colors

Access the Settings Menu

Open your shader settings while in-game. This is typically done through your shader configuration menu (access varies by launcher, but usually found in Video Settings > Shaders).

Locate and Toggle Rainbow Mode

Find the Rainbow Mode option in the Contour Shaders customization settings. Toggle it to On.

When enabled, Rainbow Mode replaces the automatic creature-matched outline colors with bright, cycling rainbow colors that continuously shift around all mobs, players, and dropped items in your view.

Observe the Effect

Once activated, look at any mob or player. Instead of seeing a green outline on a Creeper or brown outline on a Cow, you'll see vibrant rainbow lines that animate and cycle through the color spectrum. The effect applies consistently to all entities in your world.

Disable When Needed

If you prefer the original automatic color-matching behavior, return to the settings and toggle Rainbow Mode back to Off. Your outlines will return to their creature-specific colors.
