Continents Data Pack FAQ
6 questions players actually ask, answered.
What does the Continents Data Pack do to world generation?
It forces worlds to generate with large oceans, with biomes and lands forming continents, archipelagos, and islands. This keeps the world playable by making oceans more common.
Is Continents Data Pack compatible with other WorldGen mods?
Yes, it is made to be compatible with any existing WorldGen mod, including Terralith. It also works with the Vanilla large biomes world type.
Does Continents Data Pack change biome distribution?
No, it only makes oceans more common without touching biome distribution. Because of this, the same seed produces the same landmasses and regions even when using other WorldGen mods.
Where will players spawn when using Continents Data Pack?
Players are guaranteed to spawn on at least a medium-sized continent. This prevents them from being unlucky and spawning in a tiny or unsuitable area.
What land formations can generate with Continents Data Pack?
Lands generate as continents, archipelagos, and islands. These are separated by the large oceans the data pack creates.
Is there a guide available for using Continents Data Pack?
Yes, a guide called Using Continents Data Pack has been written for it. It covers how to use the data pack.
