Content Creator Server Status Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the status menu?
Press the U key to open your status menu. From there you can set your availability, recording status, streaming status, and other options.
What's the difference between availability and base status?
Availability tells others if you're busy or open to interaction (like whether you want to be disturbed), while base status communicates what you're actively doing (recording, streaming, or neither).
Can I hide my status from other players?
Yes—the mod includes a "don't want to get disturbed" option in the availability section, which signals to others that you prefer not to be bothered.
Will my status save if I log off?
By default, no—your status resets when you rejoin the server. You can enable `persist_state` in your client config file to keep your status between sessions.
How do I prevent other players from skipping the night?
Set the "don't want others to skip the night" option in your status menu, and other players won't be able to use beds to advance time while you're online.
Do I see a reminder to set my status when I join?
Yes, by default you'll see a reminder message when joining the server. You can disable this by setting `show_join_message` to false in your client config.
Can I set my status to both recording and streaming at the same time?
Yes—the recording and streaming options are independent, so you can enable both if you're doing both activities simultaneously.
Where are the config files located?
Client config is in `.minecraft/config/status/status-client.properties` and server config is in `/config/status/status-server.properties`.
Does this mod work on single-player worlds?
This mod is designed for multiplayer servers to help players communicate with each other, so it's most useful in a server environment.
Can server admins see or control player statuses?
Server admins can configure server-wide settings like the night-skip behavior through the server config file, but individual player statuses are set by each player themselves.
