How to Use Configured Mod to Edit Another Mod's Config Values
Once you have the Configured settings screen open, actually changing values is straightforward — but a few details trip people up.
Editing Values
1. Open the Configured menu (main menu → Mods → Config/Settings).
2. Select the target mod from the list.
3. Browse its categories. Values are grouped the same way the mod author defined them, so look for a category name that matches what you want to change.
4. Click a value to edit it:
- Booleans toggle on click.
- Numbers open an input field; type the new value and confirm.
- Text fields accept free typing.
- Lists/arrays open a sub-screen where you add entries with a plus button and remove them with a minus or by clicking the entry.
5. Use the Save button (or close the screen, depending on the version) to write changes back to the config file.
Things to Watch Out For
- Some values are marked as requiring a game restart. Configured will usually note this; if the change does not seem to apply, restart the game.
- Server-side configs edited on a client only affect your singleplayer world or your own client. On a multiplayer server, the server's config wins for anything gameplay-affecting.
- If you break something, most mods regenerate defaults if you delete their config file, so you can always reset by removing it and relaunching.
