How to Reset or Undo Changes Made with Configured Mod

If you changed a setting and the game now behaves strangely, you can roll it back. Configured writes to the same config files the mod would normally use, so undoing is just a matter of restoring those files or resetting values in the UI.

Resetting Through the Interface

1. Open the Configured screen (Mods → Config/Settings) and select the mod.

2. Find the option you changed. If you remember the old value, click it and type or toggle it back.

3. If the mod provides a Reset or Defaults button on its config screen, use it — this restores every option in that mod to the author's default values.

4. Save and, if the mod requires it, restart the game.

Resetting by Deleting the Config File

1. Close Minecraft completely.

2. Open your game instance folder and go into the config directory.

3. Locate the file named after the mod (usually the mod id, ending in .toml, .json, or .cfg).

4. Move it somewhere safe as a backup, or delete it.

5. Launch the game. The mod will regenerate a fresh config with default values on startup.

This is the safest universal fix: it works even if the in-game screen is misbehaving, and keeping a copy means you can restore your customised settings later by putting the file back.
