Configurable Waterlogging Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Where do I find the config file?
Look for configurablewaterlogging-common.toml in your game's config folder. If it doesn't exist yet, launch the game with the mod installed and it will be created automatically.
How do I add a block to the waterlogging list?
Open configurablewaterlogging-common.toml and add the block's name to the allowed blocks list. You can add individual blocks or use block tags to add groups at once. Save the file and use /cw reload to apply changes without restarting.
Can I waterlog blocks that are already waterloggable in vanilla?
Yes, but it's not necessary—stairs, slabs, and fences already hold water in the normal game. You can skip adding these to your config to keep the file cleaner, or add them if you want to manage them through this mod.
Why won't my waterlogged block stay filled after I reload?
Make sure the block name in your config file is spelled correctly and matches the actual block ID. If the block is on your blacklist, it will stay dry even if it's on the allowed list—check for conflicts.
How do I stop a specific block from holding water?
Add it to the blacklist section in configurablewaterlogging-common.toml. Blacklisted blocks will never hold water, even if they're on your allowed blocks list.
What's the /cw toggle command for?
Look directly at a block and run /cw toggle to turn waterlogging on or off for just that block, without editing the config file. This is useful for quick changes during gameplay.
Do doors and beds waterlog correctly on both halves?
Yes, the mod handles multi-part blocks properly—when you waterlog a door or bed, both the upper and lower halves fill with water correctly.
Can I use this mod with other mods that add custom blocks?
Yes, you can add any mod's custom blocks to your config file by using their block ID. Just make sure you use the correct namespace and block name format.
How do I check which blocks are currently configured?
Run /cw status to see how many blocks are on your allowed list. For a full list, open configurablewaterlogging-common.toml and review the blocks section.
Will waterlogging blocks affect performance?
Waterlogging blocks has minimal performance impact since it uses the same water mechanics as vanilla waterlogging. Adding many blocks to your config won't noticeably slow down your game.
