Speed Up Smelting in Your Furnace

Accessing the Configuration

To make furnaces smelt items faster, you need to adjust the burn time modifier. If you have Mod Menu installed, open it from the pause menu and find Configurable Furnace Burn Time in the mod list. Click to open the settings.

Without Mod Menu, navigate to your config folder and locate the mod's configuration file. Open it in a text editor.

Adjusting the Burn Time Value

Look for the burn time modifier setting. This value controls how long items take to smelt:

• Values below 1.0 (like 0.5) make smelting *faster*. A value of 0.5 means items smelt in half the normal time.
• Values above 1.0 (like 2.0) make smelting *slower*. A value of 2.0 doubles the burn time.
• 1.0 is the default vanilla speed.

Enter your desired multiplier and save the file. If using Mod Menu, the change applies immediately. If editing the config file directly, restart your game for changes to take effect.

Now when you place items in a furnace, they'll smelt at your configured speed.
