How to Set Drop Probabilities for Extra Mob Drops
Understand where probabilities live
Drop chances are not set through a chat command — they are configured in the mod's generated configuration file. When you add a drop with /cemd addhand, an entry appears in that file listing the mob, the item, and a probability value. You edit that value to control how often the item drops.
Edit the config file
Open the configuration file the mod generates on your server. Locate the section for the mob you modified and find the entry for your item. Change the probability field to the chance you want. A value representing certainty means the item always drops; a smaller value means it drops less often. Do not guess at exact numeric formats — match the style already used by other entries in the same file so the parser reads it correctly.
Apply and test
Save the file, then run /cemd reload in-game or from the server console. This reloads the configuration without restarting the server. Kill the mob several times to confirm the drop rate feels right. If an item never appears, double-check that the entry is under the correct mob ID and that your probability value is in the range the file expects. Remember that probabilities apply per kill, so low values may take many kills to observe.
