Fixing Drowned Still Spawning Despite an Active Conduit
First Checks
If drowned are still appearing while you think the conduit is active, work through these in order.
1. Confirm the effect is on you. Look for the conduit power icon in your status effects. A conduit that is placed but not powered (incomplete frame, no water contact) grants nothing.
2. Check your distance from the conduit. The effect only applies within the conduit's own activation radius. Step back toward it and see if spawns stop.
3. Verify you are the one with the effect. The mod checks players with the conduit effect, so if you left the area and came back, re-confirm the icon.
4. Look at the config value. If preventDrownedInRange was lowered, drowned can spawn closer to you than expected. Restore it to a larger value if you want full suppression.
5. Restart after config edits. Config changes usually need a game restart to take effect.
If It Still Fails
Check whether the drowned are actually spawning or simply wandering in from outside the radius. Mobs that already exist are not removed by the mod — it only blocks new spawns. Clear existing drowned manually, then observe whether new ones appear.
Mod Conflicts
Other mob-spawning mods can override spawn rules. If you run several spawn-altering mods, test with only this one enabled to isolate the cause.
