Concrete Conversion Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I convert concrete powder into concrete with this mod?
Hold the concrete powder in your inventory and throw it into a water source or flowing water. The powder converts to concrete on contact, and you can then pick up the finished block.
Why isn't my concrete powder turning into concrete when I throw it?
Make sure you're throwing it into actual water and not just near it, and that you're dropping the item rather than placing the block. If it lands on dry ground or a non-water block, nothing happens.
How do I turn dirt into mud with this mod?
Throw dirt blocks into water the same way you would concrete powder. This feature is disabled by default, so you'll need to enable it in the mod's configuration file first.
Why can't I make mud even though I'm throwing dirt in water?
The dirt-to-mud conversion is turned off by default in the config. Open the config file and enable that option, then restart or reload so the change takes effect.
Can I turn concrete back into concrete powder?
Yes, put concrete in a furnace and it cooks back into concrete powder. This lets you reverse the conversion if you need the powder form again.
What machines does this mod add for automating concrete?
The mod adds simple machines that automate the powder-to-concrete conversion so you don't have to throw items by hand. Feed powder in and the machine handles the water conversion for you, which is useful for large-scale production.
How do I set up automation for concrete production?
Place the mod's conversion machine, supply it with concrete powder and water, and let it output finished concrete. You can then route the output into storage or a furnace setup if you want to convert it back to powder.
Does throwing concrete powder in water work in a cauldron or only in world water?
The conversion relies on the item landing in water, so use a water source or flowing water block. If a particular container doesn't register as water for the mod, use a normal water block instead.
Do I lose the concrete powder if I throw it in water?
No, the powder becomes a concrete block you can pick up. Just make sure you can reach the spot where it lands so it doesn't despawn.
Will this mod work with other mods and does it hurt performance?
It's a lightweight mod focused on a single conversion mechanic, so performance impact is minimal. As with any mod, conflicts are possible if another mod changes the same concrete or water behavior, so test alongside your other mods if something doesn't convert.
